The Dutch-Argentinian photographer Richard Koek is a visual storyteller with a gift for being in the right place at the right time. For this book, he turns his gaze to contemporary urban Japan behind the iconic landmarks, kimonos, and cherry blossoms. He captures the raw edge of these common cliches, revealing the authentic Japan in the process. This book will be published on the eve of the Tokyo Olympics (July 23-August 8, 2021).
