An omelet is a culinary preparation made from whole eggs that have been beaten and cooked in a pan (sautéed). It is NOT a simple omelet folded or rolled on itself, but rather a preparation with a very distinct shape and consistency (different between the outside and the heart of the food).
The original omelet recipe is French, as the name implies.
