Tiffany Jewelry Book
A beautifully produced reprint of the historic Tiffany Studios jewelry design book housed in the Morse Museum. In the early 1900s, Meta Katherine Overbeck worked at Tiffany Studios in New York City for over thirty years. She was head of the enamel and jewelry department until 1933, and throughout the years, she built her design book, a carefully assembled thirty-six page masterpiece. Overbeck rendered her jewelry designs in watercolor, ink, and pencil before adding her meticulous annotations and piecing together the drawings onto kraft paper. The design book captures much of the iconic Tiffany jewelry lines started by Louis Tiffany in 1902. Following her passing, Overbeck's niece turned the sketchbook over to the Morse Museum in 1978, where it is housed as a permanent exhibit. Both the exhibit and this reproduction book revitalize the elegant and intricate design work of Overbeck and her vital contributions to the Tiffany Studios legacy.
