Disorientation
"Disorientation" is a warm but sharp satire about how we present our life by Elaine Hsieh Chou.

Ingrid Yang is desperate to finish her PhD dissertation on the big poet Xiao-Wen Chou. And she is quiete sure she will never read Chinese poetry like that again. Ingrid finds to her big surprise a strange note in the Chou archives that will change her life in exploding ways she could never predict. Together with her friend Eunice Kim and her rival Vivian Vo in their tail they will set out on a wild journey that will involve campus protests, drug hallucinations, burnings of books and Yellow Peril propaganda! Nothing will ever be the same again, and Ingrid must confront the academic world of white institutions – but most of all, herself.

In "Disorientation" Elaine Hsieh Chou unfolds a series of thought-provoking perspectives on privilege and power and how we create and perceive the stories we create about us self and each other.
