Chinese Poems is a slim volume that contains twenty poems related to early China. It includes a section of brief explanatory notes for readers who are unfamiliar with this topic. One of the poems in the collection is filled with allusions to the Tang Dynasty poet Wang Wei's "Wang River Sequence." As a bonus, the book also includes a new translation of Wang's twenty-poem sequence from the Classical Chinese.
