With the Lomography Super Sampler on the island Föhr : The Cross-Processing Diary
Roaming over a rather barren North Sea island with the Lomography Supersampler is a special kind of experience. The island suddenly shows a dynamic that is otherwise not inherent to it. Even the ridiculous self-stylization as "Frisian Caribbean" doesn't change that. A self-description can hardly be more absurd than marketing brains have come up with.
The effect is heightened when a slide film is inserted and developed in C-41 negative chemistry.
The island then appears to one as if one had smoked strange mushrooms.
The following catalog shows the images of an analog installation on a Föhr farm in October 2021.
The photographs themselves were taken on
February 19, 2019, so it really is a diary.
